John is the Founder of TryCycle Data Systems, headquartered in Ottawa, Canada. For more than 20 years, John has been in the business of creating digital technologies and solutions. John has a BA from Carleton University (Ottawa), a MA from The Graduate Institute (Connecticut) and is currently a PhD student at Carleton University (Ottawa) and Trent University (Peterborough).
Steve is a finance executive with extensive global experience across finance, accounting, and operations. Industry expertise spans cannabis, aerospace and defense, high tech/telecommunications, and manufacturing. Steve is a CPA with a MBA from the University of Ottawa.
TryCycle’s cofounder, Ken House, is a member of the Oneida Nation of Wisconsin. He earned an undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and completed a master’s program in organizational leadership at The Graduate Institute. Ken has a long background in communications, governance, social services, and entrepreneurship. His life’s work includes connecting people to opportunity and creating social mobility through social capital.
Kelly is an integral part of the Leadership Team, overseeing day to day operations and driving change in a rapid and highly innovative environment. Kelly has held senior management positions for more than 20 years, both in startup environments and in large enterprise corporations. Kelly is an active member of the Invest Ottawa Community and Advisory Groups (COO Forum, Ladies Who Launch and Ottawa’s Customer Success Peer Group). Kelly studied Applied Management at Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology.
Geoff has been working at the intersection of technology and medical services for more than 25 years. With degrees from Purdue University, the University of Arizona, and an MBA from the University of Ottawa, Geoff loves helping people on the frontline with new technologies that make their work easier and more effective.
Dr. Silverman is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in general psychiatry and addiction psychiatry, and is certified in addiction medicine by the American Board of Addiction Medicine. For the past 18 years, Dr. Silverman served as the Director of Medical Education of Rushford’s Addiction Medicine Fellowship where he started the Addiction Medicine Fellowship (accredited in 2013). He is also Past-President of the Connecticut Chapter of the American Society of Addiction Medicine.
Cameron has been working in the health and social services community since 1984. He has participated in and led work that has influenced policy and practice that have addressed the needs of marginalized populations. Cameron holds a Bachelor’s degree from Carleton University, with a combined Major in Sociology and Law, and completed leadership programs at Queen’s University and the University of Toronto.
Donna is a registered nurse with more than eight years of experience serving remote Northern Ontario First Nations communities. She has worked closely with Chiefs, Councils, and healthcare teams to advocate for culturally responsive care, and now leads nursing and Indigenous business development at TryCycle, advancing innovative, community-driven health solutions across Canada.

A Chartered Accountant by training, Ken Newport is an entrepreneur and business executive with a focus on life sciences. In the mid-1990s, Ken co-founded CroMedica Global Inc., a contract research organization, and grew it to over 600 employees in just six years, eventually reaching 2,600 employees with 13 offices in nine countries. After the merger of CroMedica and PRA International Inc. in 2005, Ken moved on to found and lead several other successful life sciences businesses. He has earned the ICD.D designation and serves or has served on several corporate boards. Ken has also lent his expertise to volunteer boards, including the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute. He currently serves as Chair of BioCanRx, Canada’s National Centre of Excellence for Immunotherapy Cancer Research.
Wendy Jocko is a leader and champion of Indigenous rights. She served as Chief of her First Nation, the Algonquins of Pikwàkanagàn, and is a member of the Assembly of First Nations Veterans Council. Wendy is passionate about furthering reconciliation and holding governments accountable for their commitments. In 2023, Wendy’s dedication was recognized by Algonquin College with the conveyance of an honourary degree at the Spring Convocation. As the Indigenous Liaison for Innovation7, Wendy works to help advance reconciliation through education, equitable partnerships, and socioeconomic growth.
Holding a bachelor’s degree from Carleton University and a Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership from The Graduate Institute in Connecticut, John MacBeth is the very definition of a “serial entrepreneur.” Over the past 25+ years, John has founded several companies that have leveraged technology to improve the lives of thousands of people. He is a committed advocate and ally for Indigenous People and Canadian Veterans. John has built partnerships with Indigenous leaders and Nations. The impact of TryCycle’s innovative approaches to providing care has been felt in First Nations throughout Saskatchewan, with other Provinces now appreciating the potential and seeking partnerships. Presently, John is pursuing a PhD in Canadian Studies from Carleton and Trent Universities.
Jonathan Mayhew has an extensive track record of success in the health and insurance industries. Currently, he is the Executive Vice President, Group Benefits for Guardian Life Insurance Company of America (Guardian) where he oversees Group Benefits strategy and growth across all markets. He has previously held senior executive leadership positions at Ontrak, CVS Health, Aetna, Freedom Disability, and Cigna. Jonathan is a graduate of Providence College. He currently serves on the board of Strong Center, a non-profit organization that empowers youth to maximize their talents through athletics and education.
